Parents and their infants and toddlers, as well as expecting parents now have the opportunity to participate in one of the nation's most successful early childhood programs, Parents as Teachers (PAT). PAT is based on the philosophy that parents are their children's first and most influential teachers. The Parents as Teacher program includes:
personal visits with activities for parents and children to do together,
information on child development and parenting topics including the latest research on brain development
developmental screenings including informal hearing and vision checks
help in finding other resources beyond the scope of the PAT program, and play groups.
Accepting enrollment of expectant parents and children age prenatal to 3 years.
