Learning Technology Center

Ray Rehberg – Director of Industrial Technology
Jeff Wozniak – IT Manager

The Learning Technology Centers were established by the Illinois State Board of Education as a statewide network to assist school districts with the design, implementation, and assessment of technology resources to improve academic achievement and to prepare students for the 21st century. DuPage is part of the Area I LTC.

LTCs work collaboratively with the Regional Offices of Education and ISBE. The ROE Center for Professional Learning supports high quality, research-based professional development programs and services to educators, schools and districts to ensure that all students in DuPage County learn and succeed.

Technology Coordinators

Monthly meetings for district technology coordinators are hosted from September through May of each year.  Meetings are held alternately on the second Thursday or the second Tuesday of each month at the Center for Professional Learning in Lombard.  The format for these meetings is one of open conversation and networking, with agendas open to meet the current needs and interests of the school districts.  Any current ISBE technology initiatives and ROE technology activities are included in these meetings.  The ROE also provides other technology related events such as showcases and webinars per interest and/or need expressed by district technology coordinators.

Technology Facilitators

The ROE coordinates quarterly strategy and information sharing sessions for district technology facilitators/coaches/integrations specialists.  These discussion sessions are hosted by DuPage school districts, with a focus on current instructional technology initiatives.

Instructional Coaches

The ROE also hosts networking sessions for district instructional coaches 3-4 times throughout the school year in host districts.  These sessions are similar in format to those of the technology facilitators, however the focus of these sessions is on strategies and resources to promote and support instructional coaching in DuPage school districts.
